IB roseinyourheart / ib / ♥♥♥♥♥ (familial) A precious little girl who saved Garry from the brink of death in the Guertena Gallery. Though they'd known each other no more than a day at most, a close bond was forged between them by the scary experience they both survived. Despite her youth, Garry respects her as a friend and companion, and always takes time to listen to what she has to say. He is very protective of her, and considers her something like the cute little sister he never had. In Haven, he's come to care for her in a more parental manner, acting as her guardian. Though he might lose hope for himself, he can't lose hope for her; Ib's presence keeps him going, as he's determined to get her back home safely. | |
DIVA madamemoiselle / blood+ / ♥♥♥♥♥ (platonic) A woman who called herself the queen of the vampires. While he still harbors a healthy fear of her strength and unpredictability, Garry's found that there's more to her than just violence. Although Diva herself seems to have a hard time understanding it, he believes that there's a kind, caring person within her, and after how she treated him while he was at his lowest, he believes that's her real self. She's just confused and traumatized. And while he can't forgive her for what she says she's done in the past, he also finds it hard to blame her entirely. To his own surprise (and continuing moral conflict), she's one of the few people he can always talk to, and he's come to trust and care for her. Diva is a friend - someone he wants to be there for when he can, and who he hopes he can rely on. | |
CHARLES FEI-ONG encored / blood+ / ♥♥ An upper-class-seeming little boy that helped Garry out when he first arrived. It turns out that his 'well-spoken yet saucy' attitude is due to the fact that he's actually a hundred-year-old vampire. What do you know? Garry is horrified (and mortified.) Charles almost always acts rudely towards him. But because they both care about Diva, and because Diva cares about him, Garry does his best to get along with him. | |
ANGE USHIROMIYA entreats / umineko no naku koro ni / ♥♥♥ A pokerfaced girl with a sharp tongue. She can be somewhat difficult to talk to, but Garry has found her to be exceptionally honest, and actually quite kind, despite her apparent coldness. She has been through some kind of unspeakable hell, is now dead, and he feels terrible for all of it. While she said that she didn't mind helping everyone find a way home even though she had nowhere to return herself, Garry wants to find a way to save her, too. | |
GILBERT NIGHTRAY consacrer / pandora hearts / ♥♥♥ A serious and mysterious servant. He's actually been really generous and fairly friendly, as well as having that whole tall-dark-and-handsome thing going on, so Garry can't help but be charmed. Sometimes he's awkward in conversation, but overall, he seems like a good, reliable person. Gilbert has been there for Garry when he needed help and has been willing to accept him despite mistakes he's made. Plus, he made macarons for himself and Ib. Definitely someone Garry would call a friend. | |
MERYL STRYFE collateraltsunage / trigun / ♥♥ A very serious businesswoman. Garry's not sure what to make of her - on one hand, she seems extremely grounded, concerned about her job and keeping the public safe. On the other hand, she sure gets emotional quickly... But she doesn't seem like a bad person. | |
REIM LUNETTES allweather / pandora hearts / ♥♥♥ This refreshingly sane man hails from Gilbert's world, too, and Garry finds him very easy to talk to, as both of them are relatively 'normal' and can commiserate over the situation in similar ways. He finds Reim to be very studious, almost intimidatingly so, at times, but also very friendly and helpful. | |
SHARON RAINSWORTH unicornered / pandora hearts / ♥♥♥ A well-mannered noble girl. She's very brave and clever, not to mention quite cute and fashionably-dressed, all of which Garry finds very endearing; he likes her quite a bit already, although they haven't known each other too long. | |
SINON sharpeyedshooter / sword art online / ♥♥♥ A tough, slightly imposing young lady who looks out for Garry from time to time. For some reason, she has cat ears, and she says that this isn't her real body, but a virtual avatar from a game, adding a new and rather disturbing layer of mystery to the whole of Haven. Recently, he's had the opportunity to look out for her, instead. | |
SAYAKA MAIZONO intuits / dangan ronpa / ♥♥♥ Garry sort of embarrassed himself the first time he talked to this pop idol, but she didn't hold it against him, and since then, they've been good friends. Her sturdy upbeat attitude makes him happy, and as such, he likes talking to her; with everything else so negative, she's a much-needed spot of hope. | |
EREN YEAGER funfte / attack on titan / ♥♥♥ A teenaged soldier from a war-torn Earth; this bothers Garry a lot more than it bothers Eren, and he finds himself quite concerned for the poor boy's health, especially mentally. Though they don't know each other that well, Garry is happy to talk with him and tell him about a more normal world for humans, and tries to keep an eye on him to make sure he's doing all right. | |
