I've done what I could with what was available, but they're still a little plain. [there's only a single ribbon holding the lid down and once Garry removes that and said cover, he'll find a set of macarons neatly lined up inside. they alternate between pink and purple; the pink ones are strawberry flavored and the purple are just vanilla. the flavors are pretty mundane as far as macarons can go and it isn't his personal best, but the presentation is done with obvious expertise behind it, the texture is right and the taste definitely isn't half bad.]
[ Garry is clearly surprised to see such a delicately-wrapped package in this hellhole as he takes it in his hands. Plain? They? It sounds like he's talking about food - food that he prepared - but he doesn't really dare to hope for anything like that. ]
Well, thank you very much! It's no matter at all. You're such a thoughftul man... [ ahem. ] Erm, is it all right if I open it now? I've always been a little overeager when it comes to gifts.

I did. [...] They might not be the best. [JUST COVERING HIS BASES.] The ingredients here aren't excellent quality and I didn't have much time to bake them with, but I remember you saying that you liked them.
-- I'm sure they're wonderful!! [ and he means that 100%... he's so charmed right now, Gilbert has no idea. Well... other than the pink cheeks and big smile. If Garry wasn't holding the box now, he'd be running up and grabbing his hands excitedly. Maybe he's a little quiet and a little awkward, and sort of stoic, and worries a lot, but he's thoughtful enough to worry over that injury and go out of his way to make something as difficult as macarons...! ]
