[ Diva looks pleased, and maybe even a little shy, but for now, this is enough. She just wants to be close enough to someone to be comforted by the gentle warmth of knowing that there was someone beside her. She scoots closer, setting her head against his shoulder. ]
Then I'll stay for a little while.
garry will wake up one day with his room full of fancy vases and charles...
[ this was the right thing to do, wasn't it? It probably would have been easier in the long run not to get involved with someone like her - even if she weren't a vampire, she had enough issues to send a psychiatrist running (to a phone to call up the police, all things considered), and she wasn't his problem by any means. However, he'd seen too much of her good side, heard too much of her story, to just ignore her, even if he'd tried. When she's like this, tired from crying and resting against him, scared and lonely, it's pretty hard to imagine rejecting her frienship. There would be too much guilt. And, admittedly, he'd be lonely, too.
With a sigh and a smile, he puts an arm around her, rubbing her back soothingly. They were all in this together - this time, he'd get them all out together, too. ]
and then diva moved in no i'm kidding
