[well that sure is looking on the bright side mr. garry]

Maybe you could use it as inspiration? It's definitely a perspective that most people don't have.
consacrer: (oh so that's what that is)

[OH GARRY... he hadn't actually stopped to think of things as scary in that kind of conventional way, which sure says a lot about him. he's been scared before - afraid for the safety of others, but the situation itself had always seemed more dire than terrifying to him.

he purses his lips briefly, looking like he wants to say something - and then manages to derail himself like a champ after catching sight of the emerging pattern.]

Did you learn your other sewing techniques this quickly?

[no thanks garry you can keep... that..... all of it.]

Hm... [the only thing he's ever been that good at so quickly is cooking! closely followed by marksmanship... and even those took him a while to master! he briefly wonders why in the world garry struggles to sell his wares; his world is clearly lacking in sense, wow.] Next time, I'll pick something a little more difficult for you.

[everyone in Haven has pits luck. Garry should come back to Gilbert's world, he'd fit right in...]

If you wouldn't mind it, then. You might get bored, working on things like this for too long.

[that would be fitting in too tbh]

You could do it in the North if you wanted, I think. People keep a book up there to record the events that have happened so I know it's possible to write, anyway.

[d i v a...

he also doesn't know how to tell Garry "actually I usually don't use Raven because he is huge and would probably collapse the tunnels".]
I could take you the next time you want to go, if you want. Or you could come along - we go on trips to the North and East every fourteen days, or around there.

[it's going to be a missed opportunity he will forever regret!!]

It wouldn't be. There are people who want to go through to the other parts of the city for all kinds of reasons. It doesn't matter what, really. [as long as it isn't HARMFUL.]

Please do. [it will help him feel USEFUL in a place where he doesn't manage to feel that way very often!!]

Anyway, you could always grab supplies while you're up there.

[his attention shifts back to the kerchief at that, since clearly it is more important than discussing whether or not Garry will be dragged along on their next tunnel adventure (because he will be either way!!)]

—That looks good. Do you want to use that pattern for the whole thing or try something else?
consacrer: (if something was wrong)

[personal profile] consacrer 2014-01-04 08:45 am (UTC)(link)
[that gets a brief pause from him and he glances down at his own kerchief.]

Ah, well... I thought that was a practice one, so... [so it wouldn't matter if it looks fug, obviously!! though it doesn't, and he doesn't particularly think it would look too doofy if the pattern was changed.]
consacrer: (what kind of face is this)

[personal profile] consacrer 2014-01-05 07:39 am (UTC)(link)
All right. [YEAH NEW PATTERNS. he's the sort of person who tends to start like ten projects at the same time and work at them all on intervals, anyway...

so yes, he shifts his piece of fabric around to start demonstrating a new pattern.]

This one isn't all that different from the first. You just have to take care where you put the needle at the end because you want the end result to look like this... [demonstrating!]
